Samsung to Launch DVD Players with Blue-ray, HD DVD Support

After the attempt of unifying Blu-ray and HD DVD formats failed, Blu-ray supporter Samsung has decided to roll out dual-standard Blu-ray/HD DVD players sometime in 2006. A Samsung executive told the Financial Times Deutschland that although a unified standard is still welcome, the company will proceed with bringing a solution to market as it appears that no agreement between the two camps will ever be reached.
